As we prepare the food together, Bean will guide you through the recipes, discussing the value of the ingredients, cooking techniques and how these support your body. And when the meal is cooked we’ll sit down together and eat.

To be really honest…

…I haven't enjoyed cooking for a while. In truth, I’m fed up with it. The endless meals in lockdown did it. Golly that was so boring, and relentless. Moving away from Stoke Newington where I had everything I could possibly want ingredient wise just a 10 minute walk away did it too #1stworldproblem. Having a child who is super picky about food definitely does it. As does using my ancient Belling cooker which is literally falling apart and is a massive pain to work with. I used to be such a foodie. My favourite thing to do was cooking.

So, if you're feeling super bored and in a funk about cooking, I get it. I really do.

This is partly why I'm doing this cooking workshop. We all need inspiring because life progresses so quickly, we have so much thrown at us all the time, that so often the simplest thing is to keep cooking the same things.

The pleasure I'm going to get from inspiring you and sharing with you how to nourish yourself through perimenopause is going to be so wonderful for me that I'm going to skip away from it feeling newly inspired and excited about cooking as much as you are.
