Moon Wisdom; Cycle Knowledge for Modern Life

This workshop provides menstrual health guidance for girls, combining essential period knowledge, with nutrition and practical lifestyle know-how and some much needed moon magic.

It will be something of a whistle stop tour through the essential things girls need to know as they are starting out at the start of their reproductive lives, because there is so much to pack in but I am making sure you will leave understanding the key things that will make the most difference. Indeed, I’m sure you will find it incredibly useful too as it’s the cycle education you wish you'd had.

Why is it important to know about your cycle? I have worked with women who only consider their periods until they find they cannot get pregnant, or are in the throes of menopause and regret being totally unaware of this huge part of their physiology until it is slipping away.

That’s one thing, but we want our girls to thrive as they grow up and go out into the world. As declared by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2015, a woman’s period is her fifth vital sign. And yet so many women don’t know what is normal and what isn’t - pain is endemic but our periods shouldn’t be so painful we have to rely on pain relief. Not enough women know that and know what to do about painful periods, and how to reduce PMT/PMS.

If a girl is thriving her period is likely to be a breeze, and I’ll be sharing the nutrition and lifestyle know-how she needs to know to thrive - the foods, the way of eating, the dos and don’ts, the perils of some things. What to do and consider if your periods are painful, or irregular, or very light, and raise awareness of other problems like PCOS, endometriosis and PMDD. If there is time I would like to give a nod to her future fertility, and to menopause.

Not only that but we’ll visit the more mystical benefits that come with tuning into the menstrual cycle, the benefits that offer a richer inner experience, meaning and personal growth.

Please come and join us and bring your daughter(s) if she/they are up for it, but no worries if not (my 16 year old wouldn’t be!).
